This particular creation is in large country house in Northumberland. The room had been used as a store for years. Only dust gathered there, now people people gather there once more.
The Chinese styled mural is painted around the whole room. Spreading around the furniture, existing paintings and through the shutters.
Murals can create atmosphere. An uncanny quality of being able to transport the viewer to another world, slightly off centre, slightly not in this world, where seasons change on walls and colours calm the senses.
